Peter French

 
Wealth & Safety was founded by Peter French (MA. CF, FRSA, FSyI) a former senior police detective.

Peter retired from the Police Service in 2005 after an extended period as the acting Divisional Commander responsible for Criminal Investigation, Crime Reduction, Security and Counter Terrorism. That role included responsibility for the UK Hijack plans at the designated airport.

During his 32 years as a career detective, Peter earned 9 commendations mainly for investigative work. He also held a number of specialist roles investigating organised crime and murder. This has given him significant experience in security management and crime reduction.

Vetted by the Security Services, Peter became Chair of the UK Airport Commanders Advisory Group. In addition, he was acting Chair of the UK Airport Commanders Crime Group. He still sits on a Police management group that is responsible for National Crime Reduction issues.

He lectures and writes on security. Peter has recently been appointed by the US State Department as a lecturer on Security and Counter Terrorism. His Masters Degree at Exeter researched Crime Reduction techniques. He is a Fellow at both the Security Institute and the Royal Society of Arts. He is a Churchill Fellow and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the American University Washington DC.
